The flipped classroom model potential in online learning: an assessment focused on pedagogical interactions

چکیده

This work evaluates an educational proposal, based on the Flipped Classroom principles, implemented in online learning during lockdown caused by Covid-19 pandemic. The proposal was a Portuguese secondary school class and combines asynchronous classes (ASC) with synchronous (SC). We collected data using quantitative qualitative methods, to characterise environment, its influence students’ engagement. integrated analysis of reveals that created adequate organised, supported robust social presence teacher. design ASC enhanced student-content interactions leading high rates commitment tasks, which ensured efficient preparation ASC. SC division into episodes allowed us understand episode interaction patterns developed. dynamic interactive approaches development subject contents initiated Despite some it has measurable improvements number student-student also conditioned collaborative construction knowledge research processes.
